Adoration for Lord God
When you first fall in love you just adore that person with all you heart and would do anything for him/her, you can’t wait to see his/her. All your time is spent counting down to your next meeting.
Adoring the Lord is more than just loving Him. It is being completely captivated by him and with Who He is. Adoration is looking beyond what the Lord has done for us and looking into His face intensely. When we do this, life’s problems are seen from heaven’s perspective.
Adoration is our hearts response to recognition that He is all we ever need. When we think about how great He is, we become transformed into His likeness as we are face to face in adoration of Him. Adoration for God lifts us up from where we are and seats us in the heavenly realm of His presence. It is in this place where the Lord speaks. When we are face to face in adoration of Him
King David wrote many Psalms of adoration, here is an example of a prayer of praise and adoration to God:
“David praised the Lord in the presence of the whole assembly, saying,”
“Praise be to you, Lord, the God of our father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendour, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. Wealth and honour come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all. Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.”
“But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.” 1 Chronicles 29:10-14
