Wherever we turn, we are constantly being told that we need protection from all sorts of things, and if you don’t use their product we would suffer loss and damage
- Police need protection to tackle violent crime
- The Computers need protection from Viruses; therefore we are forced to use Anti Virus to protect them
- Houses need insurance and alarm to protect against damage and robbery
- Government need to pass laws to protect our children against physical abuse and many other kinds of abuse and neglect
- The bible also tells us to protect our soul by putting on The Armour of God
“Put on the full armour of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled round your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Ephesians 6:10-17 and Lord Jesus prayed this prayer for his disciples, “My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. John 17:15
Make the Lord God your protector, then you have nothing to fear in this world or the one to come.
