Living a blameless life

The idea of living a blameless life may appeal to some of us, but the reality is that we are living in a world where it is almost impossible to live a blameless life, with all the temptations around us. Some people have even started asking the question, is that type of life even possible or is just a pipe dream.

There are many records of people in the Bible who have tried to live a blameless, but they all failed. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try, because we are all still responsible for our actions. Here is how the writer of psalms puts it, “I will be careful to live a blameless life – when will you come to help me? I will lead a life of integrity in my own home.” Psalm 101:2

David wrote in this verse expressing what he desires: to be careful to live a blameless life. David knew that to do the above he would need the help of God. Without the help of God through the Holy Spirit, a blameless life is unthinkable. 

Therefore we must  let God’s Word show us the standards by which to live. Meditate on the Word of the Lord day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it.  Let the word of God by his  Holy Spirit,  lead, teach and direct us regarding  living a blameless life.
