We often hear the youth use the word Respect, but what does it actually mean, they are not saying that they respect the person, but acknowledging them. Sometime its used instead of hello or good bye and for various other meanings. The meaning of words often changed to suit the occasion.
When the Bible uses the word it have slightly different meaning, with respect to God its, “Luke 10:27-28 Jesus answered, “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Love him with all your strength and with all your mind.” Luke 10:27 And for our friends and neighbours, “And, ‘Love your neighbour as you love yourself.” Luke 10:28 everyone else, “Show proper respect to everyone: Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, and honour the king.” 1 Peter 2:17 + Jesus said, “In everything, do to others what you would want them to do to you.” Matthew 7:12
