One of the hardest things we cope with in life is death. The death of someone we have loved dearly is the hardest to cope with. If today you are suffering from losing the one you loved then the words of the bible come to comfort you.
‘Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed; neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame; for you will forget the shame of your youth, and will not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore. For your Maker is your husband, the Lord of hosts is His name; … He is called the God of the whole earth.’ (Isaiah 54:4)
And of course He is the wife to those who have become widowers.

When we think of bereavement we immediately think of death. However we can experience bereavement when we lose something or someone special. It can be the result of losing a job, break up of a relationship or even losing something of sentimental value. Whatever the cause the symptoms are the same. We can experience loss of appetite, depression, inability to sleep, even anger and hurt. How good it is to know we can bring all our grief, sadness and hurt to Jesus because He really cares for us.
