Hell
You may have heard someone say, “My life is living hell.” And for some it is, because nothing seems goes right in their life and everything they say or do just makes thing worse. There are others who say, “You make your own hell.” It’s true to some extent that sometimes we make mistakes and as a result our life can become living hell for a short time. It is also true that how we live influences the quality of our lives.
Neither of the two statements paints the real picture of HELL that Jesus was talking about. Life doesn’t end with the grave. After we die we will continue to live, either in that place which Jesus calls HEAVEN or in that place of anguish which he called HELL. Jesus warned people, “Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell” Matthew 10:28. Continue reading
